Wednesday 5th October - Curry

I was working with a different dental assistant today, Juilie, she was really good fun and we both had a laugh. I also did my first ever surgical extraction of a lower left impacted wisdom tooth which i really enjoyed! It was great slicing the gum back to see the mandible and then cutting away at the bone with the bur. I had to get a little help from the oral surgeon, Nick, who attends clinics once a month as i wasnt sure which way to cut the tooth apart. But it went really well so im pleased! The patient is coming back to have the wisdom tooth on the right hand side taken out...im hoping i can do it all by myself next time!

After work Gaz and i made it to the gym for half hour of intense cardio. thankfully Gaz didnt come up in his rash so we had a good workout and he offered to take me out for a curry. We have driven along the esplanade a number of times and seen signs for a British Curry. We thought we would brave it...only to find it had actually closed down. Oh well. We then wasted the next half hour looking for places to eat...in the end we drove home and i cooked a chicken korma...courtesy of Pataks! We were both feeling naughty after the gym so we went and spend about 20mins in woolworths trying to choose the right chocolate bar.
